      <abstract xml:lang="en" contentType="abstract">This dataset is used in the paper "Topography and time shape mire morphometry and large-scale mire distribution patterns in the northern boreal landscape", which aims at exploring how the mire surrounding upland area controls mire patterns in the Sävar Rising Coastline Mire Chronosequnce (SMC). Raw data includes six shapefiles (1. mires, 2. 20 m buffers surrounding the mires, 3. the unique and 4. total upslope catchment areas associated with each mire, as well as 5. 1000-year age zones and 6. all non-mire areas within the age zones). Further, it contains four .csv files that describe age, area, slope and wetness in the objects. In addition to this, mire shape and catchment-to-mire area ratio is provided for the mires. The data tables (.csv) are applied in the provided R script. The data covers 3473 mires. Data is derived from maps provided by the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority, as well as the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The reader is refered to the README file for a more detailed description of the application of the maps.</abstract>
      <abstract xml:lang="sv" contentType="abstract">Det här datasetet används i artikeln "Topography and time shape mire morphometry and large-scale mire distribution patterns in the northern boreal landscape". I artikeln undersöks hur myrars möjlighet att expandera påverkas av den omgivande fastmarken. Studieområdet ligger i Sävar Rising Coastline Mire Chronosequnce (SMC) ca 20 km nordost om Umeå. Datan innehåller sex shapefiles (1. myrar, 2. 20 m kantzoner kring myrarna, 3. det myrspecifika och 4. totala tillrinningsområdet, samt 5. tusenåriga zoner och 6. alla områden inom dessa zoner som inte täcks av myrar). Datasetet innehåller fyra tabeller som beskriver ålder, area, lutning och fuktighet i de ovan beskrivna objekten. Därtill innehåller de beskrivningar över myrens form, samt förhållandet mellan myrarna och deras tillrinningsområden. Datatabellerna används i det bifogade R-skriptet. Datan omfattar 3473 myrar. Datan är framtagen med hjälp av kartor från Lantmäteriet och SLU:s markfuktighetskarta. Läsare hänvisas till README-filen för närmare beskrivning över hur kartorna har tillämpats.</abstract>
