      <r:Content xml:lang="sv">Majsmottet existerar i två feromontyper (E och Z) där honor producerar, och hanar attraheras till, olika kvoter av de två aktiva ämnena för kemisk kommunikation hos arten. Z-typen är skadegörare på majs och påträffades för första gången i Sverige 2010. Studien syftade till att uppskatta förekomst av de två typerna av majsmott i svenska majsfält via fångst i feromonfällor under perioden 2013-2022 för att studera om Z-typen ökar i antal och därmed utgör ett hot för majsodling i Sverige. Under 2018 placerades fällor även i områden utan majsodling för att se om Z-typen fanns där och i dessa fällor fångades gulhakad röllikarotvecklare, Dichrorampha petiverella.

Fångst per vecka av hanar av majsmott (Ostrinia nubilalis) i fällor betade med olika feromonvarianter (E-typ, Z-typ eller hybrid) och placerade i majsfält i södra Sverige. Experimentet utfördes under juni-augusti 2013-2022. Under 2018 placerades fällor även i områden utan majsodling.</r:Content>
      <r:Content xml:lang="en">The European corn borer exists as two pheromone strains using different blends of the two active compounds for sexual communication. The Z-strain is a major pest on maize and was observed for the first time in Sweden in 2010. This study monitored the occurrence of the two strains in Swedish maize fields by captures in pheromone traps during 2013-2022 to evaluate if the Z-strain is increasing in distribution and abundance and has become a threat for Swedish maize growers. In 2018, traps were placed also in areas without maize fields and Dichrorampha petiverella males were captured in these traps.

Weekly catches of male European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) in traps baited with different pheromone blends (E-strain, Z-strain or hybrid) and placed in maize fields in south Sweden. The experiments were performed during June-August 2013-2022. In 2018, traps were also placed in areas far away from maize fields.</r:Content>
