      <abstract xml:lang="en" contentType="abstract">This dataset presents the concentrations of a wide range of substances in urban streams in Sweden. Contaminant concentrations in the water phase were measured during both dry and wet weather conditions in three Swedish urban streams: Fyrisån in Uppsala, Ljurabäck in Norrköping, and Storån in Söderköping. Sediment samples were also collected from these three streams, along with an additional stream: Kättstabäcken, a stream near Stockholm Arlanda Airport that receives stormwater discharges through a pond system.The collected data included 34 targeted PFAS, 13 phthalates, 10 organotin compounds (OTCs), 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and 9 phenols (i.e., nonylphenols, octylphenols and -ethoxylates) in water phase. Bottom sediment data included analysis results for 35 targeted PFAS as well as 30 PFAS precursors (by using TOP assay), 13 phthalates, 10 OTCs, 16 PAHs, and 8 phenols (excluding BPA).

      <abstract xml:lang="sv" contentType="abstract">Detta dataset presenterar koncentrationerna av ett brett spektrum av ämnen i urbana vattendrag i Sverige. Föroreningskoncentrationer i vattenfasen uppmättes under både torra och våta väderförhållanden i tre svenska urbana vattendrag: Fyrisån i Uppsala, Ljurabäck i Norrköping och Storån i Söderköping. Sedimentprover samlades också in från dessa tre vattendrag, tillsammans med ytterligare ett vattendrag: Kättstabäcken, en bäck nära Stockholm Arlanda Airport som får dagvattenutsläpp genom ett dammsystem. De insamlade uppgifterna omfattade 34 riktade PFAS, 13 ftalater, 10 tennorganiska föreningar (OTC), 16 polycykliska aromatiska kolväten (PAH) och 9 fenoler (dvs. nonylfenoler, oktylfenoler och -etoxylater) i vattenfasen. These samplers were programmed to take time-proportional sub-samples. The samples were collected 0.5 m below the stream surface. The time intervals for sampling were determined based on the predicted precipitation duration during wet weather. For dry weather sampling, the intervals were consistently set to one hour, with sampling conducted over a 24-hour period. After each sampling event, sub-samples were thoroughly mixed and composited to create a 7.2 L composite sample from each site. The samples were then submitted to ALS Scandinavia AB.

Bottom sediment samples were collected using a powder-coated brass Ekman sediment sampler (Hydro-Bios).
