      <abstract xml:lang="en" contentType="abstract">This dataset was collected and used in the article "Interactive effects of drought and shading on boreal stream metabolism and algal biomass in experimental mesocosms." The data include benthic chl-a and modeled oxygen data from experimental channels at the Svartberget Research Station, all of which have been modeled to calculate gross primary production and respiration. This manuscript is part of a larger project aimed at evaluating how modern forestry practices affect ecological functions in headwaters (small streams). This specific dataset was collected to investigate whether negative effects of clear-cutting on streams, such as altered light conditions, interact with extreme weather events such as drought.

      <abstract xml:lang="sv" contentType="abstract">Detta dataset samlades in och användes i artikeln "Interactive effects of drought and shading on boreal stream metabolism and algal biomass in experimental mesocosms ". Data inkluderar bentisk chl-a och modellerat syredata från experimentella kanaler i Svartbergets Forskningsstation, vilka alla har modellerats för att beräkna bruttoprimärproduktion och respiration. Detta manuskript är en del av ett större projekt som syftar till att utvärdera hur dagens skogsbruk påverkar ekologiska funktioner i källflöden (små bäckar).
