        <collMode xml:lang="en">Fatigue tests were performed on laser spot-welded steel sandwich panels using an Instron 1272 servo-hydraulic testing machine under force-controlled constant-amplitude loading. Two experimental test series were conducted: (i) tensile-shear fatigue tests on individual laser spot welds extracted from welded sandwich panels and (ii) three-point bending fatigue tests on welded sandwich panels. A sinusoidal waveform and a load ratio of R=0.1 were used throughout the testing programme.
