The physical collections cover liquid and dry material in envelopes, which are primarily derived from collection objects already accessioned into the NRM herbarium. The remaining material pollen/spores are from specimens not found in the NRM herbarium. Each preparation has notes, which can also consist of sketches and illustrations, o or some preparations, photographs and negatives. Historical data associated with these preparations has been recorded on index cards whereas modern information about material may include LM, SEM and TEM images.
