Stockholms Historiska Databas (SDH) arbetar med uppbyggnaden av en historisk-demografisk databas för Stockholm. Grunden för denna verksamhet utgörs av de drygt 6 miljoner personuppgifterna i det s k Rotemansarkivet. Rotemansinstitutionen inrättades 1878 som ersättning för en alltmer bristfällig kyrkobokföring för att man i Stockholm skulle få en tillförlitlig folkbokföring, som skulle ge den noggranna kännedom om folkmängd och skatteunderlag, som var nödvändig för att klara förvaltnings- och planeringsarbetet under ett av Stockholms mest expansiva utvecklingsskeden. 'Inflyttare till Stockholm 1880-1925' innehåller avidentifierade uppgifter om de personer som inflyttat till två församlingar i Stockholm - Nicolai församling och Maria församling - från övriga delar av Sverige under åren 1880, 1885, 1890, 1895, 1900, 1905, 1910, 1915, 1920 och 1925. Information finns om födelseår, kön, familjeställning, relation till hushållsföreståndaren, inflyttningsförsamling, födelselän, födelseort, län och ort inflyttningen skedde från, samt titel och civilstånd vid inflyttningen. Materialet innehåller även x- och y-koordinater för inflyttningsförsamling, födelseort och senaste bostadsort innan inflyttningen till de två Stockholmsförsamlingarna.
