Hypoxia enhances follicle survival and ameliorates markers of metabolic function in human ovarian cortical tissue culture

The overall aim of this study is to investigate the effects of in vitro culture on human ovarian tissue, and to optimize the culture system to study the reproductive toxicity of chemicals in the laboratory.

The dataset is connected to a study that investigates the impact of in vitro culture on ovarian cortical fragments. In total 5 samples (i.e., 3 samples in the fresh group and 2 samples in the cultured group) collected from 3 patients were sequenced in this study.

Ovarian tissues were dissociated into single-cell suspension using mechanical and enzymatic methods and used for library preparation. Single cell RNAseq libraries were prepared using Chromium Next GEM Single Cell 3’ Reagent Kits v3.1 (10X genomics).

The dataset contains 36 fastq files from paired-end RNA sequencing, compressed with GNUzip (gzip). The dataset also contains one md5sum file in txt format to validate data integrity and a metadata file. The approximate total size of the dataset is 96 GB.
