Data for: Family members’ evolving caregiving responsibilities after the transition from hospital to home – a qualitative longitudinal study

The dataset consists of five semi-structured follow-up interviews with family members of people who previously experienced critical illness. The interviews were conducted in 2026 and focused on family members’ experiences of caregiving responsibilities following the transition from hospital to home, how responsibilities developed over time, and how previous experiences and the transition to home were retrospectively understood. The interviews were conducted in Swedish and transcribed verbatim.

Swedish political party programs and election manifestos

Swedish political parties' party programmes and election manifestos from 1897 to the present.

All documents are also available at https://snd.se/vivill, where it is possible to search in the documents.

Swedish party programs and election manifestos builds on the "Vi vill …! Hundra år av partipolitiska viljeyttringar" ("We want…! A hundred years of political party declarations") project, which the predecessor of SND, SSD, conducted in 2000–2002. The purpose of the project was to compile the party programmes and manifestos produced by political parties during the 20th century. These texts make it possible to trace the development of the parties in terms of language use, politics and ideology. They also provide a good overview of the issues that have been important to Sweden's development. The project was awarded financial support from the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond grant for support to research infrastructures.

All party programmes and election manifestos in the database are available in PDF and TXT formats. The PDF files reproduce the original formatting of the documents, while the TXT files contain text only, in UTF-8 format, without page numbers, tables of contents and other layout-related elements. The text in the TXT files has been adapted for continuous reading, with the original paragraph structure retained as far as possible. The documents are also available as a corpus through Språkbanken, providing additional opportunities for research on the material.

The selection of election manifestos initially included only parties represented in the Swedish Riksdag, as it was based on Sven-Olov Håkansson's study "Svenska valprogram 1902–1952" ("Swedish election programmes 1902–1952") and the research project "Partiernas opinionspåverkan" (POP) by Peter Esaiasson and Nicklas Håkansson. The material has subsequently been supplemented and the selection broadened to include, for example, documents for European Parliament elections as well as documents from parties outside the Riksdag that have been represented in the European Parliament. An unknown number of documents that could potentially be included in the collection are still missing.

This project was made possible thanks to John-Erik Ågotnes at NSD (Norsk Samfunnsvitenskapelig Datatjenste, now SIKT – Kunnskapssektorens tjenesteleverandør), the Norwegian counterpart to SSD/SND, which published a CD with Norwegian party programmes in 1997. Ågotnes gave SSD free access to the software he had developed for his project.

The dataset consists of:
- The zip file "Svenska partiprogram och valmanifest" that consists of the folder "Partidokument" which contains all political party documents in .pdf and .txt format sorted in separate folders for each party
- Documentation files: "Partidokument" (.xlsx and .csv) listing all party documents, their type, source and titles and a "readme" .txt file

The International Cooperative Programme on Integrated Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Ecosystems (ICP IM)

The International Cooperative Programme on Integrated Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Ecosystems (ICP IM) presents a comprehensive long-term dataset of ongoing integrated ecosystem monitoring from European forested catchments. The dataset encompasses measurements from monitoring stations across 14 European countries, with temporal coverage extending for most sites from the 1990s to 2020. The dataset will be updated with new data once per year. The integrated monitoring approach applies over multiple monitoring subprogrammes to simultaneously measure physical, chemical, and biological properties across ecosystem compartments including atmosphere, precipitation, throughfall, soil, soil water, groundwater, runoff water, vegetation, and biota. All measurements follow standardised protocols detailed in the ICP IM Manual, ensuring data quality and comparability across sites and time periods. The dataset supports research on ecosystem responses to air pollution, climate change impacts, and biogeochemical cycling.

Data is provided by sub-programme (all sites and all years with data in one file), geographic co-ordinates for sites are available in a separate file. Historical data from inactive sites in Belarus, Denmark, Iceland and the United Kingdom are currently available by request, as is data from Finland in sub-programmes TF,SF,SC,SW,FC,LF,FD,VG,EP and BV, and data from Poland. The monitoring is done under the framework of the UN Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP) and also has an important role in reporting under the EU national emissions ceiling directive (NECD). Users are strongly encouraged to refer to the ICP IM Monitoring Manual which describes in detail the methods used to make measurements in the field and the laboratory, the data formats used, explanations of column headers and flags used in all subprogrammes and example files. This is provided alongside the data.

Pre-registration: Effects of school start times on adolescent sleep in Stockholm high schools

For the purpose of pre-registration, the files provided at this stage contain simulated data only. The simulated data mirror the structure, variables, formats, and expected distributions of the real data that will be analysed. The simulation is grounded in observed parameters from the class schedules (School start times.csv) and published estimates of sleep duration in Swedish adolescents (Lemke et al., 2023).

This dataset is connected to a longitudinal observational study examining the association between school start times (SST) and sleep in upper secondary students in Stockholm, Sweden.

Stockholm City has implemented delayed school start times (no earlier than 9:00 a.m.) in selected classes across three upper secondary schools during the 2025/26 academic year. This created variation in start times across classes, enabling an observational evaluation of how SST affects adolescents' sleep. The study uses naturally occurring variation in school start times across the classes, those with delayed SST and a selection of classes that maintained their original schedules, treating SST as a continuous class-level exposure variable.

Data were collected from n=527 upper secondary students (gymnasium, year 2) across 20 classes in three schools in Stockholm. Questionnaire data were collected at four time points: at the start of the school term (baseline), and at 1, 3, and 6 months follow-up. The primary outcome for this pre-registration is weekday sleep duration, measured via self-report using the Karolinska Sleep Questionnaire (KSQ). The exposure variable is the weekly average school start time per class, derived from class schedules, expressed in hours from midnight and centered at 8:00 a.m.

The study uses a Bayesian multilevel modelling approach (three-level: measurement occasions nested within students nested within classes), implemented in R using the brms package. Missing data are handled via model-based imputation in brms.
