Data och kod för "The potential of semiochemical blends to monitor saproxylic beetle communities"

Den här mappen innehåller data och kod till artikeln ”The potential of semiochemical blends to monitor saproxylic beetle communities” av Viktor Gårdman, Bo Aulin, Mikael A. Molander & Mats Jonsell.

Pellet counts and Habitat survey from Grimsö, Centroid of Research Area, 1997–2025

Inventory of pellet and dropping counts including habitat survey based on 32 transects equally spread throughout the Grimsö Wildlife Research Area (GWRA) contain in total 600 plots (area 100 m2). These plots are surveyed in Spring for moose pellet piles and habitat data, and in Fall for only pellets. Along each of those plots, there are 4 smaller plots (10 m2, total n=2400) used for surveying pellets and droppings from five small game species. After each visit (Spring and Fall), the plots are cleared from pellets and droppings.

Swedish National Forest Inventory: Presence-absence vegetation data (1995-current)

The Swedish National Forest Inventory (NFI) is a sample based field inventory performed by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The annual inventory is undertaken on sample plots and this forms the basis for a large number of estimates. Data is collected across the whole of Sweden and statistics are published for all land use classes except urban land and sea and fresh water.

The data collection is focused on forest land and particularly productive forest land. Since year 2003 areas within formally protected land are included and since year 2016 non–coniferous alpine forest are included.

The sample size (number of permanent sample plots where presence/absence registrations are performed) was reduced by 50% from year 2018 and onwards. This dataset consists of the reduced sample. The supplement data from the discontinued sample for the period 1995-2017 is available in the related dataset 'Swedish National Forest Inventory: Presence-absence vegetation data (1995-2017, supplement sample)'.
