Data from: Lactic acid bacteria in Swedish honeybees during outbreaks of American Foulbrood

https://doi.org/10.5878/kbt4-b102

In this study DNA extracted from honeybees was analysed using qPCR for the presence and quantity of different honeybee-specific lactic acid bacteria. The aim was to investigate if presence of the disease American foulbrood in the beehive or in the apiary affects honeybees composition of lactic acid bacteria. In the data file "Sample_info" background information for the individual samples is found, the data file contains 7 columns and 42 rows. In the data file "Data_LAB_AFB_in_Sweden" Cq values are found for all samples and bacteria, the data file contains 11 columns and 493 rows. In the data file "Bactdilutions", bacterial concentrations and Cq values for serial dilutions of the bacteria the samples were analyzed for are found. The data file “Bactdilutions” contains 3 columns and 47 rows.
