Description of the mode of collection:
The lignin phenols in the sediments were extracted using CuO oxidation (Hedges and Ertel, 1982). sediments were prepared for pollen analysis, according to the standard acetolysis method of Berglund and Ralska-Jasiewiczowa (1986). Land cover was reconstructed through Landscape Reconstruction Algorithm (LRA) (Sugita, 2007). REFERENCES: Berglund, B.E., Ralska-Jasiewiczowa. 1986.
