Description of the mode of collection:
All devices are connected to a personal computer with computer graphics rendering capabilities, via the serial bus, and ethernet. All incoming data is serialized and harmonized within OpenDLV powered by libcluon. The graphics rendering pipeline is carried out through OpenVR with Vulkan API interfacing to OpenDLV. The vast majority of the raw data is serialized and saved within OpenDLV in rec-files. Graphics rendering data is saved via binary files to be post-rendered at a later point to unpack the data.

Instrument
Instrument
Name:
HTC Vive Pro 1
Description of the instrument:
Virtual reality equipment consists of head-mounted displays and base stations. Measures head kinematics and provides visual image rendering to the wearer. Image of size 1440 x 1600 pixel resolution per eye at 90 Hertz with a 98-degree field of view. The head mount device connects directly to the graphics card of the rendering computer and serial-bus. The base stations connect wirelessly to the system.
Name:
HTC Vive Binocular Add-on (eye tracking system)
Description of the instrument:
HTC Vive Binocular Add-on from Pupil Labs, an eye-tracking system addon for HTC Vive 1. Provides gaze- and eye-modeling data. The device communicates via a serial bus, interfaced with their Pupil software.
Name:
SensoWheel (steering wheel)
Description of the instrument:
A steering wheel system from Sensodrive with force feedback capabilities with a mounted torque sensor. The system communicates via CAN-bus.
Name:
Logitech G27 pedals
Description of the instrument:
A pedal system, from Logitech G27 set, from Logitech repurposed for the experiment. The pedal actuators provide analog voltage levels.
Name:
LabJack T4
Description of the instrument:
A low-level measurement device handling analog to digital signal processing in this experiment. This is used to measure the pedal signal system from Logitech G27 and the torque from the SensoWheel.
