COOL BLUE: Biodiversity survey of low-trophic aquaculture sites in Sweden and Denmark using eDNA and video monitoring
https://doi.org/10.15468/XK2Y9U
This dataset provides species occurrence records from a biodiversity survey of low-trophic aquaculture sites cultivating blue mussels (Mytilus edulis), carried out within the COOL BLUE (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101112747Opens in a new tab) project. Records were obtained using two complementary monitoring approaches: eDNA metabarcoding, based on water samples and Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures (ARMS) (https://www.embrc.eu/marine-monitoring-and-modellingOpens in a new tab) bulk samples, and baited remote underwater video (BRUV).
For the BRUV approach, the associated video data were also used to train a machine learning model to identify the recorded taxa. Further information on the methodology and procedure is available here (https://zenodo.org/records/14713926Opens in a new tab) .
