Local radio coverage of the election campaign 1979
https://doi.org/10.5878/001114
A new medium took part in the 1979 election campaign: for the first time the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation, represented by its subsidiary Swedish Local Broadcasting Corporation, had the possibility to cover all local election campaigns. Primarily the aim was to look into the amount of transmission time every local radio station had used for programs specific for one commune. The information was collected before and during the election campaign and is consequently a measure of transmissions planned by each local radio station. Purpose: Shed light on how local radio reported on the three concurrent elections: the parliamentary election, country council elections and local elections.
