Sampling procedure:
Description of sampling:
Single stage (without clustering) probability sampling. Fully random sample of individuals (equal probability selection) born before 1 September 1987. The sampling frame is the register of the population, which includes all individuals living in Sweden. The register is updated continuously. Individuals that do not reside on the address stated in the register will be traced through the use of complementary registers. Individuals residing in the country illegally cannot be selected, but the proportion of such individuals is small in Sweden and is thus unlikely to cause any substantial bias. The sampling frame includes those living in institutions, since there is no way to filter them.
