Data for classroom outcomes from a Swedish randomized controlled trial of Good Behavior Game

Data comes from a cluster-randomized controlled trial where a locally adapted version of the school-based intervention Good Behavior Game was evaluated at elementary schools in Malmö, Sweden, during 2021-2022. All data is on a school or classroom-level. More details regarding the study are available in the associated study protocol. More detailed raw data and any related key codes are stored in a secure system used by Lund University (LUSEC) and is disposed of in the year 2032 at the earliest.

The population is lower elementary school classrooms (grades K–3, corresponding to ages 6–9) in Malmö, Sweden, who participated in the effectiveness trial of a locally adapted version of Good Behavior Game.

Description of sampling:
The data is from schools in Malmö with students in grades K–3 who were recruited to an effectiveness trial for the intervention Good Behavior Game. Recruited schools were cluster-randomized to an intervention or control group using a sociodemographic index variable for stratification. Data was collected from all K–3 classrooms. One classroom for each grade per school was randomly selected for additional data collection.

Data was collected from all active classrooms included in the study. Two classrooms were merged into other classrooms at the corresponding school.
