National Environment Health Survey 2007
The environmental health survey is carried out in collaboration between the Institute of Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet and the Statistics Sweden, on behalf of the Public Health Agency of Sweden. The study has been conducted in 1999, 2007 and 2015. The National environment health survey 2007 (NMHE 07) was sent to 43905 randomly selected persons in the hole country. The target population were everyone aged 18-80 living in Sweden during the last five years. Statistics Sweden (SCB) in association with occupation and environment- medicine (AMM) at Stockholm county has and sent out the questionnaires. They also have sent out reminders and transformed answered questionnaires to data files. SCB has completed answered questionnaires with register data and unidentified the data file. The investigation was approved by the Regional ethical committee in Stockholm. In order to made follow up studies possible, SCB has a code-key making it possible to identify participants in the future. NMHE 07 has been constructed so that answers from the questionnaire is possible to compare with NMHE 99. A vast majority of the questions are the same as the questions used 1999. The questionnaire has also been updated with 32 questions within new areas such as life-quality, sunhabits, telefonia etc. The questionnaire was answered by 25 935 individuals, representing a response rate of 59%. Purpose: The aim was to chart environmental exposure and environmental illness in the adult population
