Uppsala Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
The primary cause to Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) is still unknown. The study is a prospective population-based case-control study which aims to find biomarkers for the cause and progression of the disease and consequently find medical alternatives for treatment. The study also aims to investigate how persons with or without an AAA experience their health. Health related quality of life is measured with the questionnaires RAND-36, EQ-5D and a disease specific questionnaire.
