GIS-material for the archaeological project: Björnviken 2:1 - Croft remains from the 17th to the 19th century

The information in the abstract is translated from the archaeological report: Arkeologikonsult carried out an field evaluation during May 2010 of two croft sites; RAÄ Kvillinge 152:1 in Lilla Bådstorp and RAÄ Kvillinge 162:1 in Norrkärr. At Kvillinge 152:1, fragmentary remains of a stone foundation to a croft from the late 18th or 19th century, were found. In the field evaluation of RAÄ 162:1, two locations with well-preserved remains and cultural layers were identified and delimited. The settlement remains represent the location of Norrkärr during the 17th and 18th century. Purpose: The information in the purpose is translated from the archaeological report: The purpose of the field evaluation was to determine the character, extent and dating of the ancient monuments. The results of the evaluation will form the basis for the Country Administrative Board's authorization of an excavation as well as for the assessment of the scientific potential and level of ambition for a possible excavation. The result will also form the basis for the municipality of Norrköping´s further planning and commitment to any continued potential development. The ZIP file consist of GIS files and an Access database with information about the excavations, findings and other metadata about the archaeological survey.
