The Swedish Red List
Red listing is a method developed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to assess species’ risk of extinction (www.iucnredlist.org). The Swedish Red List summarizes the conservation status of evaluated species in Sweden.
The Red List provides an important knowledge base for monitoring environmental objectives and for identifying and prioritizing nature conservation efforts.
The most recently published Red List is valid until a new list is published.
