Population:
The 5259 novels translated into Swedish in Sweden between the years 2000 and 2015. Information given concerns: Swedish title, original language, author (and nationality), translator, year of publication and if it is a direct or indirect translation. For the 70 indirect translations it is also stated which language was the mediating language.

Description of the mode of collection:
The metadata on the translations in question was extracted from the National Bibliography (Libris website, hosted by The National Library of Sweden) using a Boolean search string for each of the years in the study, e.g. STIL:f ”Första svenska uppl* 2000” år:(2000) språk:swe, for the year 2000. The material was then triangulated with information from other sources about the authors and translators. The search and its corroboration via triangulation resulted in two databases: the larger reference database of 5259 direct AND indirect translations and the main material of the study, the database consisting of the 70 indirect translations published in Sweden between 2000–2015.
